EXCURSION TO THE HIGHEST ACTIVE VOLCANO IN EUROPE
Appointment in Etna South at an altitude of 1880 meters and meeting with the Alpine/Volcanological Guide. Briefing and departure with the Etna cable car and arrival at an altitude of 2500 metres, beginning of the trekking among the mighty landscapes and craters of Etna. Visit to the Barbagallo Craters and the fascinating lava flow channel. Snack/lunch break, continuation of the trek towards the view in Valle del Bove and return by cable car to the departure square. Period – all year round, in winter possibility of snowshoe rental on site.

Trekking development: 7 km total
Personal equipment: backpack, trekking shoes, high socks, windproof jacket, sweatshirt, long trousers, gloves and hat, glasses and neck warmer to protect yourself from the volcanic sand.
Possibility to rent trekking shoes + jacket on site. A packed lunch and at least 1.5 liters of water each is recommended.
