Departure with off-road vehicles from the hotel. Continue via motorway to Giarre, S. Venerina, Zafferana Etnea until reaching Rifugio Sapienza. Ascent with the cable car from the Sapienza Refuge up to an altitude of 2500 m. Technical stop in the Alpine Refuge and continuation in a UNIMOG Jeep up to an altitude of 2920 m. Trekking on the new craters of the 2002 eruption. Descent by cable car and lunch stop (lunch not included). After lunch, continuation to the lava flow cave. Visit to the Lava Cave. Continue to Zafferana Etnea, S. Venerina until reaching the A18 Giarre toll booth and return to the hotel.
Duration approximately 7 hours – Easy excursion
Equipment: Trekking boots or shoes. Windbreaker. Cap.
Departure at 8.30am – Return at approximately 3.30pm
Ascent from Etna South: return CABLE CAR + return 4×4 UNIMOG vehicles

We recommend dressing appropriately, trekking shoes and a windproof jacket are mandatory. - The excursion is not recommended for anyone with even mild heart or respiratory problems. Due to the minimum number of participants not being reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.
