Jeep Tour 3000m – Etna Nord

The experience of Etna is beautiful at any altitude… but if you want to go further and reach the summit areas of Mongibello, the tour to the volcanological observatory is the right one for you!
In addition to some stops also present in the other excursions (see Etna Jeep Tour), this tour includes the ascent via 4×4 return Jeep equipped for off-roading on volcanic paths, up to an altitude of 2800m
Departure from the hotel. Continue via motorway to Giarre – S. Venerina – Milo – Fornazzo – Strada Mareneve, visit to a lava cave. Continuation and technical stop at Rifugio Alpino. From Piano Provenzana go up with off-road vehicles up to an altitude of 2800 m. (Volcanological Observatory), view of the Summit Craters, continuation and trekking on the new craters of the 2002 eruption. Return by off-road vehicle to Piano Provenzana with 4×4 return vehicles.
Departure towards Rifugio di Alpino for lunch. Lunch in an Alpine Refuge (not included).
Return to the hotel crossing the town of S.Venerina or Linguaglossa until reaching the A18 motorway toll booth and returning to the hotel.
Duration: approximately 8 hours – Easy excursion
Equipment: Boots or trekking shoes. Windbreaker. Cap.
Departure: at 8.30am – Return around 4.30pm

We recommend dressing appropriately, trekking shoes and a windproof jacket are mandatory. - The excursion is not recommended for anyone with even mild heart or respiratory problems. Due to the minimum number of participants not being reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.
